Pedicures are supposed to be good for the feet, that's why we want it done to us.
The very word itself literally means "care of the foot." But unfortunately there's an incident, where a woman getting pedicured resulted a very serious injury.
Shaela Leggett-Wilson's mother had experienced many pedicures in the past from one pedicurist that she really trusted.
But when her trusted pedicurist quit her job, Wilson's mother booked an appointment a new one. Unfortunately, her appointment with the new pedicurist didn't go well as planned:
Wilson's mother's foot really became badly infected after she received the pedicure:
Unfortunately, Doctors had to keep watch over the poor woman at an ICU; and treated her with antibiotics and planned to remove all of her toes and part of her foot.
Good thing, the woman responded well to antibiotics. For that reason the doctors were able to save most of her foot. In the end, Wilson's mother only lost her big toe.
